Megafauna is present and thumpers are placed every 10 miles in order to trick the local wildlife into staying away from the buildings. Vehicles likewise have a thumping hydraulic that causes the wheels to ‘punch’ the ground in order to scare off wildlife. The Fuige Highway allows none equipped cars to travel across the desert safely. Travelers are advised to fuel up before traveling.
